Our Culture

Our personality is informal yet focused on the goals we share.  Like many techology firms, we are a mixture of geeks, entrepreneurs, and business types with diverse backgrounds.   As such, some of our staff is focused on our document management or trade show software, while others are involved in all sectors of the company.  Newbies mix with old hands to learn the trade and are expected to be contributors from the start.  We like to have fun, but understand that our clients expect our best effort at all times.  Our customer-centric approach of exceeding expectations is what sets us apart in the industry.

Personal growth on and off the job are important at Data Connect.  We believe the personal development has a spirtual component but that everyone must choose their own path.  Support for outside endeavours allows us to seek out interests that enrich us and the DCC community. 

Many of the staff at DCC are frequent travelers since our customers spread out across North America and now Africa.  Travel gives us the opportunity to experience many wonderful places, though often we find that our perspective of cities is limited to the airport, hotel, and the area around the venue at which we are working.  With a generous leave and vacation policy, a number of our staff extend their stay in the places we visit in order to better take in the sights.  For others, working remotely is a way of life and attending a meeting or discussing a new concept is done over Skype.
